Treatment for Ewing's Sarcoma Please refer to your Oncologist for more information about the best type of treatment plan for you    Everyone is different, as is every type of cancer.  Here is a very generalized list of treatment options given to patients with EWING'S SARCOMA FAMILY OF TUMORS. SURGERY: Surgery is very common if the tumor is small enough and is in an accessable location.  Sometimes because of the location of the tumor, surgery would not be indicated.   CHEMOTHERAPY: Because Ewing's Sarcoma is vascular (it has connections to the blood stream) chemotherapy is the most common treatment, and one of the most successful. A typical chemotherapy treatment plan runs 14-17 cycles, one cycle every 2 to 3 weeks.   RADIATION: When the tumor can not be remove, or is only partially removed radiation is used in conjunction with chemotherapy.
